OBJ: Edit, improve, and share your 4x6 Card Paragraph.

HW: 1. Publish 4x6 Paragraph with MLA heading and creative titile. (google doc; due in class Tuesday, Sept 14th)
2. Remember and honor those affected by 9/11...Garden of Reflection?

Here is a step-by-step guide for today's tasks:

1. Copy DATE, OBJ, and HW into your notebook.

2. Find your 4x6 Card paragraph; read it slowly and thoughtfully. Edit, improve, and/or add to your paragraph as needed.

3. Click on the link below and scroll to the two sample paragraphs. Read both paragraphs. THINK about why SAMPLE#2 is better than SAMPLE#1 ?

4. PUBLISH your "4x6 Paragraph"...That means use the DRAFT you wrote on the 4x6 card to type a "best version" in a google doc. Follow these steps:

-->1st: Create a fresh google doc. Name it "English8 - 4x6 Paragraph".

-->2nd: Form an MLA heading for your google doc that includes the following:

Your Name

Teacher's Name(s)

Class Info (Subject + Period)

Due Date

-->3rd: Think of a title for your paragraph that combines your THEME with a creative addition unique to paragraph's ideas. For example, "Me...A Work in Progress"; "Me...Weird and Wonderful"; "A Proud Moment: The Walk-Off!"; "A Proud Moment: I Kept My Cool"; "A Summer Memory: Nature All Around"; "A Summer Memory...Best Beach Day EVER!!!"

Here is a "paper" version of what your google doc will look like with an MLA Heading and Title. Also notice that the text and MLA Heading is double-spaced:

5. Publish your 4x6 Paragraph. Begin now. Your paragraph is due Tuesday, Sept 14th at the start of class...there will be a link on that day's CANVAS module where you will submit your google doc paragraph.
