OBJ: Pronounce, copy and define each LIST #1 vocabulary term. (CW = Matching Challenge worksheet)

1. Complete today's LIST1 Mini-Quiz
2. Published "4x6 Paragraph" due tomorrow. (See Fri, 9/10 module for details)

***I Hope you had a great weekend and are all rested up for today's vocabulary assignments...our FIRST vocabulary lesson of the year!

Here is a step-by-step guide for today's tasks:

1. Copy today's DATE, OBJ, and HW into your agenda /notebook.

2. Copy the 14 words of Vocabulary LIST #1 into your notebook.
***COPY THE WORDS EXACTLY HOW THEY APPEAR BELOW. SEVEN WORDS IN ONE COLUMN AND THEN SEVEN IN ANOTHER COLUMN.
***You can use a pencil or a pen, but be sure to copy the words neatly and correctly.

Spelling / Vocabulary LIST #1
pride congenial
diligent arduous
courteous    aspire
curiosity    facetious
successfully    respect
optimism    responsibility
encourage perseverance

3. Find the LIST #1 Matching Challenge worksheet in class. Use the dictionary.com website or one of the old-fashioned dictionaries on the back bookshelf as needed to correctly complete the worksheet. Glue or tape the completed worksheet into your notebook.
***NOTE: there are three words on the Matching Challenge that are not "official" LIST#1 vocabulary terms...just roll with it!
